About Me

Hey there, I’m Josh, and welcome to HomeSimPilot.com! Years ago, what began as a simple plan to create an affordable training tool for my time in flight school unexpectedly grew into a deep passion for building flight simulators.

After working as a flight instructor for several years, life took me on a different professional path outside of aviation but I still wanted to keep my piloting skills sharp. Building a flight simulator at home turned out to be the perfect, budget-friendly solution and it quickly became a hobby I truly love.

When I first started building my own simulator, I realized there wasn’t much information out there to guide hobbyists and pilots alike. That’s why I created this website… to inspire and help others explore the incredible possibilities of home flight simulation.

Whether you’re just starting or looking to upgrade your setup, I hope this platform provides you with valuable insights and sparks new ideas for your journey. Thanks for stopping by and supporting this project. Let’s build something amazing together!
